Our Core Privacy Principle
Your files never leave your device. All scanning, metadata extraction, and cleaning happens entirely in your browser. We cannot see your files because they are never sent to us.
Information We Collect
Free tier users:
We collect nothing. No account. No email. No cookies beyond basic session functionality. Your daily scrub count is stored in your browser's localStorage only — it never leaves your device.
Pro tier users:
We collect your email address only — stored solely to manage your subscription status. We store: email, account status, subscription dates. We do not store your name, location, payment details, or any file data. Ever.
Your Files
We never receive, store, process, or transmit your files. All processing is local in your browser using Web Workers. This is verifiable: open DevTools → Network tab → drop a file → you will see zero upload requests.
Payment Data
Payment processing is handled by Dodo Payments. We never receive or store your card details. We only receive confirmation that a payment was made and the email address associated with it.
Cookies
We use minimal cookies required for authentication only. No advertising cookies. No tracking cookies.
Data Retention
Account data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by emailing chetanperso@gmail.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
Third Party Services
We use: Supabase (auth + database), Dodo Payments (payment processing), Vercel (hosting). Each has their own privacy policy.
Children's Privacy
Blindfold is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email where possible.
