Blindfold
Local only. Zero uploads. Ever.

Strip every hidden trace before you share.

Your files carry hidden data that reveals who you are, where you've been, and what device you used. Blindfold removes it all — right here in your browser.

Why remove hidden file metadata?

What is EXIF data and why does it matter?

Every photo taken on a phone or camera embeds EXIF metadata — GPS coordinates, device model, and timestamps — directly into the file. This data travels silently with your photo wherever you share it, often revealing your exact location to anyone who knows how to look.

How does local browser cleaning work?

Blindfold uses Web Workers, a browser technology that runs code in an isolated thread inside your own device. Your file is read, scanned, and cleaned entirely in your browser's memory — never transmitted to any server. When you close the tab, nothing remains.

Is AI-generated content marked invisibly?

Images created with ChatGPT, Midjourney, and DALL-E contain embedded C2PA tags and XMP metadata identifying them as AI-generated — including the exact prompt used. Blindfold detects these markers and removes them for Pro users.
